With only 3 months left in 2019, we bring you some of the most popular and coveted motorcycle riding festivals across UK. Test your skills and challenge yourself by taking part in any of the below mentioned competitions and events. Just don’t forget to take your motorcycle Kevlar jeans!

Motogymkhana National Championships Round 5
Gymkhana is a popular motorcycle sport in Japan that is making its way into the UK as well. A course is set up with different paths and obstacles (usually with the help of traffic cones). Riders have to maneuver their way across the course to the end point. Not only is this a test of your ability to control your bike on twists and turns but it is also a race against time! All participants are timed and the rider who completes the course in the shortest time wins. This October 5th, take part in the Motogymkhaana National Championship at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground, Bath Lane, Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire, LE17 5QS. All riders with a CBT certificate and a legal bike are welcome to participate. Rider entry is £50 while spectators are welcome free of charge. You can also join in on practice sessions held every Wednesday evening at Wheels Raceway in Saltley, Birmingham.
However, this sport has a medium to high chance of injury. Riders are supposed to ride at medium speeds but the tricky turns can become a factor for crashing. We recommend that you equip yourself with good quality motorcycle jeans with body armour for protection against abrasion and impact. You can shop for high quality Kevlar jeans from EVOQE’s wide range. (www.evoqe.co.uk)

Weymouth Beach Race
It doesn’t get tougher than this. For any rider open to new challenges, this beach race at Weymouth Beach, Dorset on the 27th of October is perfect. Riders have to make their way through the course, all the while dealing with the biggest challenge-- riding in sand! Practice starts at 12 in groups of three- Juniors, seniors and experts and the race begins an hour later. The event is open to AMCA license holders and Non-License holders and anyone aged 16 and above is welcome to participate.
Riding in the company of heavy vehicles on sand really takes all effort from the rider. For any precautionary measures, we suggest you wear a helmet, goggles (it’s going to get dusty!) and motorcycle jeans.
AMCA license holders can enter for £38.50 per person while non-license holders can join for £63.50.

Motorcycle Live
The most coveted motorcycle show in the UK, Motorcycle Live is what all bikers look forward too. It’s held at the NEC Exhibition Centre, Birmingham and is the first look into the fresh, new models of your favorite brands and motorcycles. But the event also includes tons of activities among which are inside and outside riding zones. The event is always well-attended and at times becomes too crowded. While you get a chance to ride some of the best bikes out there, it can be a little unsettling to be on a completely new bike, increasing chances of crashes and collisions. Out on the crowded test ride zone, protective motorcycle denim jeans can save your lower body. EVOQE’s Gladiax Fully Relaxed Motorcycle Jeans is optimal for situations like these. These Kevlar jeans provide cover for the entire lower body through an inside Kevlar layer.
The event is held from the 16th to the 24th of November. Adults (over 16) are charged a £19.50 ticket, while anyone under the age of 16 can join for £1 (kids under 11 are free)

The 45th Plum Pudding Races
Allowing 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers, the Plum Pudding Race is one of the most inclusive motorcycle events in the UK. It takes place every year at Mallory Park Racing Circuit, Kirkby Mallory, Leicestershire, LE9 7QE where the environment is electrifying. It’s priced at £11 and kids under 16 can get free entry.
With different kinds of vehicles, the competition does not get any tougher or more dangerous. In competitions like the Plum Pudding Races, rider caution is extremely important because chances of vehicle collision increase. We recommend gearing up with body armour. The basics include chest and back protectors, shoulder inserts underneath motorcycle jackets and, knee and hip inserts underneath motorcycle denim jeans. EVOQE’s Xplore Aramid Motorcycle Jeans comes with removable CE Level 2 EN 1621-1: 2012 approved Forcefield Isolator Upgrade knee and hip protectors, and is a great candidate for such an activity. Forcefield armour is the best in the business and makes top quality body armour with Nitrex technology and RPT (Repeat Performance Technology).

The 45th Plum Pudding Race will be held on the 26th of December, right around the new year. The event would be the- perfect biker way to say goodbye to 2019!
